How to Use Gold Leaf on Food:

Prepare the Surface: Ensure the area where the gold will be applied is slightly tacky. If the food isn’t naturally sticky, lightly brush on a thin layer of sugar syrup or water.

Apply the Leaf: Hold the backing paper, gently invert, and lower the gold leaf onto the surface. Avoid touching the leaf directly.

Secure & Smooth: Use the back of a clean metal spoon to gently rub the paper. This releases the static charge and allows the gold to transfer onto your food.

Finishing Touches: Use a small, dry brush to smooth the gold into grooves or contours, if needed. Avoid using fingers – fine-tip tweezers are recommended for precision.
Important note: The sheets are incredibly delicate, so care must be taken when taking them out of packaging and applying them to surfaces. Carefully store unused leaves in an airtight container in a dark place between 18 – 28°C.
